BEN HARDING   .. My dad was a CPO onboard HMS Renown during world war two. I'd like to contact others who have memories aboard renown at this time and also anyone who may have known Ben Harding.   

ALBERT DAVIES.. I am trying to find out any info on my father, Albert Edward Davies, who was a stoker on the Renown between 1941-1945. Photos of the crew would be a great help. 

JIM FRENCH.. My uncle Jim served on HMS Renown while she was at the River Plate engagement with the Graf Spee. Anyone with stories or photos of him on Renow

J C WARREN.. My dad, Martin John Cain, served on the Renown and he gave some pictures and text notes for the book Hit Hard Hit First. I have a poem that was written by an a/b J C Warren who was with my dad at the time and I would love to be able to contact him or his family to pass it on. C

LEN CROCOMBE.. My father Len Crocombe served on Renown in the 1940's. He died last week and I would love to hear from anyone who knew him. Also does anyone know of past Renown crew members contracting lung cancer? 

ERIC JOSLIN... Are there any old sailors out there who served on HMS Renown during her refit at Durban in January 1945? The Renown's log entry for 13th January 1945 states: 0945 Colours Half-Masted for funeral of the late AB Joslin. Eric Joslin was my uncle. His death, aged 19 years, has always been a mystery to his family. There is nothing in Renown's log about an accident. Can anyone throw any light on the nature of Eric's death? 

ALBERT EDWARD DAVIES (TED)... My father was a stoker on HMS Renown between 1941 and 1944. I am looking for information, crew photos or anyone who may have known him. 

WILLIAM HERD.  My Grandfather served on HMS Renown during world war two. I would be grateful to know of any photographs showing the ship with her full crew serving onboard. If anyone can help I would be pleased to hear from them. 

REGINALD CRABB  Served on HMS Renown during WW2. I am looking for information on Reginald's Naval career and any of his old ship mates. If anyone can help with nay information i would be very grateful. 

HEDLEY GREENING  My Grandfather served  on HMS Renown during World War 2. I believe he was an AA Gunner. I would like to hear from anyone who may have known him or has photos of the ship and its crew. 

BERNARD GOODLEY. My Father served onboard HMS Renown. I don't know much about his naval career. I would love to hear from anyone who knew him. I do know his best pal was called Les, he also served for a short time on HMS Repulse. 

LOOKING FOR INFO  My grandfather served on HMS Renown as a Stoker class 1. between 1917 and 1920. If you have any photo's or info about the Renown and its crew at this time I would love to hear from you. 

WILLIAM (BILL) STONE: My father served on HMS Renown during WW2. he died in 1960 when i was young. I would like to hear from anyone who knew him or has info or photos of the crew at that time.

Ivan Berryman - Battle of Britain Art

Artist Ivan Berryman has been producing many pencil drawings depicting scenes from the Battle of Britain. Each of these is signed by one of the pilots who was actually present at the battle, and is often inspired by the events they took part in themselves. Special signed print editions have also been created from existing full colour print editions, with some featuring multiple pilot signatures. You can find all of Ivan's Battle of Britain artwork on his website - www.ivanberryman.com, or see a full list of pencil drawings - updated regularly, in our dedicated section of pencil drawings.

When you go to a product page for an item in our shop, click on the names of the pilots where they are linked in the text for an item to see a profile page for that pilot. Often we include photos of signing sessions along with details of their flying career, and a full list of all items signed by the pilot.

Pilot Signed Battle of Britain Prints and Original Pencil Drawings

Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain

We are busy building up a portfolio of many many original pencil drawings which depict events from the Battle of Britain, the famous air battle won by 'the Few' in the summer of 1940. The British and Commonwealth pilots defended the air above Britain and the surrounding seaways from the might of the German Luftwaffe. Greatly outnumbered, the bravery of these young pilots saved the country from invasion, and let Britain survive to go on to defeat Germany. Without that first crucial victory, the outcome of the war could have been so very different. We have been busy arranging signing sessions with the few pilots who fought in that great battle who remain with us to this day. Our newly commissioned pencil drawings are often based on the descriptions of the battle by these great men, and are authenticated by their signatures. We have also had several editions of existing prints signed in full, or have signatures added to parts of existing editions. We have also incoporated signatures of some of the German pilots who also took part in the battle, some of whom went on to become top scoring aces of the war.
