CYRIL JOHN VERDUN STEVENSON: My Father was on HMS Cumberland
during WW2. I am trying to find out if HMS Cumberland transported King
George on a top secret mission to Russia or Africa, and also to confirm if
my father was awarded a medal during this time. Any information on the history
of the ship would be gladly received.
