Belfast: Was a Southampton class Cruiser, along with HMS Edinburgh
(Lost May 1942) she made up the third and final group of Cruisers in
the Class. (Others in the 1st and second group were HMS Newcastle,
Southampton (Lost January 1941), Glasgow, Sheffield, Birmingham,
Liverpool, Manchester (Lost August 1942), and Gloucester (lost May 1941,)
HMS
Belfast was launched on the 17th March 1938 at Harland and Wolff Shipyard.
and spent most of her wartime service in the Home fleet. She is preserved
at a Museum on the Thames since October 1971

10,000 tons, Compliment 850. Speed 32 Knots.
Armament: Twelve 6-inch Guns in three in four turrets, twelve 4 -
inch guns in pairs, sixteen 2 pounder AA guns and six 21 - inch
