HMS Lion, Royal Naval Vanguard Class 80 gun second rate battleship. Built at Pembroke dockyard July 1840 and launched 1848. HMS Lion was armed with seventy 32 pdrs and four 68 pdrs (GD). She became a training ship at Devonport and was finally sold in 1905.
