Air Vice Marshal Alexander Gray CB MC
A private in the Highland Light Infantry in World War One, he moved to the Royal Flying Corps and commanded No.55 Sqn in 1917, then commaned No.12 Sqn RAF after the war. Holding this position until May 1926, he took up senior roles in the RAF and Air Ministry, including Station Commander at RAF Manston, retiring in 1949. He died on 16th May 1980.

Clipped Signature - Alexander Gray.
