Raymond Chaz Bowyer Signed Naval Art
Raymond Chaz Bowyer
An author who had served as an instructor in the Royal Air Force, he wrote more than 40 books on aviation history. After joining the Royal Air Force as an apprentice in 1943, he served for more than a quarter of a century, becoming an instructor in weaponry and explosives before retiring in 1969. Most of his work was on aviation of the First World War, his first piece being a history of No.27 Sqn Royal Flying Corps entitled The Flying Elephants, a reference to the Martinsyde G.100 aircraft they flew which were known as Elephants. He died on 18th June 2008.

Clipped Signature - Chaz Bowyer. An author who wrote more than 40 books on aviation history, mostly about the Royal Flying Corps. He served 26 years in the Royal Air Force from 1943, involved as an instructor in weaponry. His first work was on Martinsyde G.100 Elpehant aircraft. He died in 2008. Please note that this particular signature has been written in pen - not in pencil like most of our signatures. |
