Warrant Officer J D Phillips
Having qualified as a Flight engineer, he was one of the first crews to join 617 Sqn following the Dams raids and completed operations against the mighty Tirpitz Battle Ship. He died in April 2014.

Clipped Signature - Des Phillips. A Flight Engineer in the Royal Air Force, he was in one of the first crews to join the famous No.617 Sqn immediately after the Dambuster Raid. He flew operations against the German battleship Tirpitz with the squadron. He died in 2014. |
