Lord John Cameron KT DSC
Born in 1900, he served during the First World War as a midshipman in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve. A student of law, he qualified in 1924 and became King's Counsel in 1936. During World War Two, he was again in the RNVR, and commanded MTB107 at the evacuation of Dunkirk. MTB107 was one of the last ships to leave Dunkirk, and Cameron was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. He returned to law after the war, and was appointed a Knight of the Order of the Thistle in 1976. He died on 30th May 1996.

Clipped Signature - Lord John Cameron. Lord John Cameron :Volunteered for service in the Navy in World War One, then became a lawyer before volunteering again in World War Two. He commanded Motor Torpedo Boat MTB107 during the evacuation of Dunkirk and was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. He was later appointed Knight of the Order of the Thistle. He died in 1996. Richard Annand VC : Serving with the Durham Light Infantry during the invasion of Belgium in 1940, he attacked with grenades two parties of Germans attempting to repair a blown bridge, despite machine gun and mortar fire. Later, he returned to the position to rescue a wounded Private and was himself wounded and lost consciousness. For this act he was awarded the first Victoria Cross of World War Two for the British Army. He died in 2004.
